This program provided a beautiful combination of reality and spirituality. Gervase has a unique ability to bring both of these to each session and lesson; acknowledging that we are humans with hard emotions and real struggles, and also showing us that we are incredibly magical, intuitive, wild, and powerful. It is very obvious that Gervase does the work alongside her clients, rather than preaching a predetermined curriculum or cookie-cutter healing path. This, I think, is key to unlocking my own power and potential-seeing it in another woman activity doing the work, making mistakes, learning, growing, etc. This gives me permission to do the same and know that that's what the work IS, not some pie-in-the-sky perfection or magical place I'll somehow get to "one day." She shows us this mindset is possible here and now, and models how she is finding it within the throes of normal life. I must also say, she is an expert in diving right to the deeper source of ache, trauma, hurt, or wound. She isn't afraid to challenge me, to push me to look at my stuff differently, and move out of the comfort zones that kept me stuck in the first place.
