Anita Kopacz is an author, a spiritual psychologist, and the head of the nonprofit Zero F’s Given, a campaign created to help victimized populations heal trauma and reclaim their power. Her recently released novel, Shallow Waters, highlights the African mermaid goddess Yemaya, braiding in historical events and figures from the slave trade era while simultaneously calling out to women of color to remember who they are.
